Release: Trainer r7.1

There are no new options this time since I'm busy with something for DISE, but it will be useful for some people with large text (high DPI).

Edit: Sorry, I included the wrong link earlier (pointed to the previous version).

What's new
  • Improved compatibility with large text/high DPI. It does not look perfect but it's better. Tested with 100%, 125% and 150% on Windows 7.
  • Added more helpful text.
Usage help (same as clicking Help in the trainer):
Start the game after starting this trainer. In-game, simply press the button combination (hotkey) to activate/deactivate options.

A sound will be emitted when the code is activated, deactivated, as well as when it didn't work for some reason, and in which case you'll hear the same sound on consequent hotkey presses.

If you use the numpad keys (such as Num 1), make sure that Num Lock is on (you probably know Caps Lock, and there's also Num Lock).

If a hotkey is in use in another program, you can easily choose a different hotkey in the trainer.

      I'm afraid it's not as simple as fixing it. I could of course leave the executable uncompressed even though it uses more bandwidth. I will look more into code signing when I have all the documents in order. What's the name of your internet security software?

    Norton haha it crashed on me after i disabled it so icould run the program,
    iseen a comment on youtube about it bein a false positive, ijust now tried it out,an it was so now i disabled it, and im having a hard time trying to find the in game hot key.. idont know if another part of norton that may be blocking something else idk

      If you can simply add the trainer to the exclusion list, it would be better than disabling Norton. Hmm. Please hold on, I'll put up an uncompressed version of the exe.

      Please try trainer_r7.1_nopack.zip. Increases size, but it should trigger less false positives.

      This is the right place! Just check the Download page. Syncing with Steam is however broken at the moment, because of the latest update.

      You can put DISE anywhere. In Tools > Preferences, you can set the game storage location (where your saves/profile are).

    Alas, this is DeathWrench typing from school. I had a power outage a couple days ago which resulted in my computer turning off, when it came back on 7 hours later the computer started up normally, but when I enter the password it says it's incorrect. Now fortunately I've done everything I could possibly do using DISE, but when I do get a computer again I will start testing again.
    I didn't know where else to put this and the chat box is too laggy for my schools computers so. This is probably gonna be the last message from me in a while. I'll find this site again when my computer is re-formatted.

      Sorry. I thought I replied to this earlier, but now I remember that I lost my reply before I managed to post it. I'm glad you managed to fix it eventually, though. Last time I used System Restore, my Windows account got corrupted, and I lost the whole Windows Registry for that account (HKCU). @.@

    hi there. i read through all these comments above but nobody here seems to have the same issue as me, so i decided to ask instead... i downloaded a "black box repack" of dead island. to be honest, im not even sure what black box repack is... the game works perfect. except, i tried using your trainer, among other mods... and sadly, the trainer doesnt work. its my copy of the game, or something im doing wrong. i followed all the instructions provided but nothing happens... what can i do to make it work? any input would be greatly appreciated! thx ;)

      Hello :) The trainer has been tested on every version of the game (RELOADED game release) and the most recent version on Steam. Before concluding that it's your pirated copy causing it:
      - If you run the game as Admin, run the trainer as Admin as well.
      - Just to try it, run the trainer as Admin anyway?
      - Do the hotkeys work at all?
      - When you press a hotkey, do you hear a sound? The same sound no matter what?
      - Do any other trainers for Dead Island work for you?

      The game works perfectly for me as well on Steam (paid for) and the RELOADED releases. :)

      Might give you some clues .:)

    Whatever Super Jump is supposed to be, it doesn't work.

      The jump height starts at its original height. You also have to use hotkeys to increase/lower the height. If that's not the problem, I need a bit more info than "doesn't work". :)

      Hello!

      Are you sure about this and that it's not a coincidence? Does it happen only while you use it or afterwards even when you don't use it? Does it happen after enabling specific cheats? Are you able to reproduce it with a new/different save? How can I reproduce the issue?

      I know people have used this online as well, but I wouldn't recommend playing with VAC enabled because the trainer tampers with the game's code in memory.

      Sorry. It's too late to give a reply now but I'll do it anyway. Please make sure to (setup if needed and) use the hotkeys that actually adjusts the jump height as well. There are 3 hotkeys: enable/disable, increase height, decrease height. :)

    Good News Is, Avast (Current To March) Doesn't & Hasn't Complained once about the trainer at all, of course, it first sand boxed it, But didn't complain about it being a Trojan.Generic Like back in the day of using trainers/KG's Ect.
