A basic feature that people have been waiting for, is now here. :) Browsing available weapons and other items should be easier with the categories implemented. :)
What's new?
Implemented categories for available inventory items.
The "Quick slot" column in your inventory has been moved and renamed to "Q", to free some space.
Hey Steffen, I've been doing some testing and I discovered some things about the Level value. So, the numbers from 1000 to 99999 determine the Level of the weapon and the damage/force/etc. The numbers from 1 to 999 determine the color of the weapon. That's as far as I discovered from the testing ;].
Valentine: Thank you very much! :D I must admit that I spent a couple weeks or so with researching and building alpha 1, but yeah, 1 month since the first release! :D
Fiischer: Really good! I'll have another look at that! :D If this is consistent across all items, this may be what we need to get something basic going in the editor!
Also, two things I forgot to say, the lower the value, the higher Level the weapon gets, and low numbers such as 7/8k will give you a Level 60 weapon with 0 on all stats.
Haha ;D. When I did my first test I raised my weapons Level value to 20000 (a value about 2,5k higher than the original one), and that gave me a weapon 3 levels lower, if that is of any help for finding out the values ;].
I figured that learning how this system works, would take a long time, so I have been working on other things. It definitely helps! :D Good job! (゛゜▽゜゛)
hmmm, wierd weapons in game... i got a spiteful single shot rifle (white), copied the numbers it had and put it on a short shotgun (generated) it gave me a spiteful short shotgun of the same level (same conclusion as previous test discussed), but the damage was 1000+ and i was doubtful if i have a legit weapon in my hands, i then found a short shotgun on a chest and the dmg was 1100 so i know now that the edited shotgun before had legit stats. i did the same thing on a heavy pistol, gave me a spiteful version with damage 797, was surprised with the value, but still continued the game, thinking its legit since its lvl 55. went to act 4, guy sells a blue heavy pistol lv 56 with dmg of 613. i thought wtf, my current pistol (white) is overpowered (not legit) then i saw a defective heavy pistol (obviously white) lv 56 on the shop after it refreshed had the damage at 657, i was like o.O, too confusing... i'm just continuing the game now thinking my pistol is legit... got an epic wakizashi from shop and the damage is the same as zed's demise from quest... both same level, but wakizashi's have better handling less range, and here i was thinking zeds demise was the best bladed, another observation was that, a lv 57 zed's dmg i got was 1335 when i tried to get a lv 60 (getting my level to 60 using the save editor and finishing the quest)the damage went up to 2700... i mean, where the hell do these numbers come from... 3 level diff and the damage goes up 1000+, maybe there's something wrong with 1.3... i dont know what's real anymore... I guess i'll just go ahead and finish the game, using the weaps i picked up/bought...
Weapons with ~1000 damage are pretty normal, my level 34 Zed's Demise had 800 damage. But about that level 60 Zed's with 1000+ damage of difference from the level 57 one, I'm guessing max level weapons have extra stats ;B.
Steffen, by all means release new versions as soon as you can. My post was more about how devoted you are to your work, not that it's annoying or anything. How can it possibly be annoying with that autoupdate feature you implemented so early in development!
Whoa! When I went to work it was Alpha 18. I get back and its already Alpha 20!
ReplyDeleteTrying it out right now!
Haha :D I try to release early, but I should probably not do it so often that it gets annoying! :D
ReplyDeleteYou started the development of this great editor just a month ago, and already owns! Keep it up! ^_^
ReplyDeleteYeah, it helps alot, especially after they removed the duping glitch ;].

ReplyDeleteInteresting :O That's like the opposite of what I "found out" when I did some testing earlier. Very good, Fiischer! :D

I saw that someone else also got weapons with ~1,000 damage. Those weapons had zzz_ in the name. They are new in the 1.3.0 update. :S

ReplyDeleteFiischer: Good to know. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteCurry: Please don't worry. I just think there's still room for improvement (on the auto-update feature). Thank you very much! :D
